2025 Workshops 

Stephanie will be teaching less in 2025 and currently has one public workshop on the calendar. Other opportunities will be announced as scheduled. 

The Stenciled Image & Tunnel Books

March 29 & 30, 2025 10 am - 4 pm 

In-person at Shepherd & Maudsleigh Studio

West Newton, MA

Learn stencil techniques in Saturday’s session, then spend Sunday creating a tunnel book in this weekend workshop on image and bookmaking. We will be covering each topic on their own and discuss materials needed, ways to combine the two, and tips for editioning these prints or books. Please get in touch if you are interested in having Stephanie teach a specific class for your group. For an idea of workshop offerings, see the photographs of workshop models posted below, but she can adapt topics to suit specific learning goals. Handouts are provided for all workshops. 

Stephanie has offered workshops in person and/or online via Zoom through a variety of organizations: Wells College Summer Book Arts Institute, the Jaffe Center for Book Arts, Maine Media Workshops & College, AVA Gallery & Art Center, Creative Arts Workshop, The Dartmouth College Library Book Arts Workshop, the Morgan Conservatory, Canadian Bookbinders and Book Artists Guild, San Diego Book Arts, Kalamazoo Book Arts Center, and Minnesota Center for Book Arts. 

I want to express my appreciation with grateful thanks, not only for my own teachers, but for the historic bookmakers from many cultures, whose generous sharing of their knowledge and innovations whether through workshops or publications, has informed my own artwork and my teaching.
