One of ten linen and cotton "pages" with an excerpt about the weather from Anna Howell's diaries hand-embroidered in her handwriting, along with three tiny pieced illustrations referencing the content of the text. The pieced blocks are about one-and-a-half inches square.
Text reads:
23rd It has rained violently all night Every Storm of Snow has been followed by heavy rains & wind from N East It has been the wetest winter I have seen Hung my hams up today 24th The storm has passed away & the morning is most lovely—It inspires every living creature with new life & vigour
