One of ten linen and cotton "pages" with an excerpt about the weather from Anna Howell's diaries hand-embroidered in her handwriting, along with three tiny pieced illustrations referencing the content of the text. The pieced blocks are about one-and-a-half inches square.
Text reads:
30th A violent snowstorm the wind high from the NE the weather from having been mild and pleasant became severely cold— and in one night made so much ice as to make the crossing in the Delaware quite unpleasant
